he’s here!

after about 7 hours of labor, 6 minutes of pushing and no epidural, eli was born on december 30th at 12:07pm! if the labor wasnt so quick and he wasnt so tiny i’m not sure i could have gone without the epidural…looking back it wasnt all that bad but during it i definitely remember thinking ‘this is the worst shit in the world’. but i’m glad i did it the way i did. eli is so tiny and cute. so far he’s a really good baby..sleeps a lot (knock on wood), and rarely fusses. liv is doing SO good. she’s been really gentle with him and loves to kiss and hold him. the hardest part so far i think has been that i cant carry liv yet. she’s adjusting but i miss it.

liv had a gift for the baby – his very own silkies <3 i dont have any pictures of liv giving eli his silkies…well i do but i’m a little exposed in them :/ and he had a gift for her, some color wonder markers and paper. her first drawing? a picture of him, with his name and ‘from liv’ <3
i’m still trying to figure out how to manage my time…between him wanting to nurse basically the whole time hes awake, and playing with and taking care of liv, and myself…no time for blogging yet. but things will settle down soon i think.

he’s here! congratulations alissa, he is so gorgeous and so much like liv! i hope he stays a good sleeper and is a nice calm baby for you. things will settle down into a manageable routine soon i promise xoxox
