on mothers day i announced to the (internet) world that im pregnant again. im only about 7 1/2 weeks along but i kind of felt like i was keeping a secret so i made the announcement. in the very beginning i was really worried that something might happen, and it still could of course, but i feel more confident now. i’m not sure why i was so nervous, i wasnt at all with livs pregnancy. i think a new baby is going to be hard. hard on liv, and hard on me because of liv. but it will force teach her to share me and to do more things for herself. it just might not be a very fun process. i’m already trying to make some changes and adjustments so hopefully things will be a little different in 7 months. most days liv is excited about having a baby. she calls it ‘the baby that mommys making’. somedays though…’we are NOT having a baby!’. lately shes been saying she wants a sister, but keli and i kind of want a boy. this pregnancy feels different to me, so maybe it is a boy? a few good things about having another baby now is that we really wont need to buy that many things. clothes, but only if its a boy, diapers, a bathtub, crib mattress (we still have livs crib), probably a bassinet (liv slept in one in our room for like..7 months?), a dresser, a few bottles, a car seat, possibly an ergo carrier, and breast pads. a lot of that i can buy used and we already have so many toys. we still have a stroller, a bouncy seat, a boppy pillow…and probably a few more things. i’m glad liv doesnt only have a bunch of girly things. its still early on but were excited :] i think starting at 8 weeks my sister is going to take monthly or maybe bi monthly belly shots for me. thats always fun to document.

last night i decided i wanted to do another photo an hour thing because it had been awhile since i last did one. today ended up being an interesting day to do this. last night liv stayed up till about 10:45, and woke multiple times by 4:30am or so. by maybe 5:30 she was up again (still in her own bed which is pretty unique in itself) and by this time she had leaked through her diaper. for whatever reason she was in a pissy mood and refused to come in our bed (wtf?) or lay on a blanket..cause her bed was soaked…lots of screaming ensued and she ends up wanting to eat food, be in the living room, be up for the day, etc. i was pissed. i take her to the living room with goldfish and try to get her to sleep. lots more screaming, ridiculous demands…even stupid stuff like freaking the eff out because i was using a blanket. i wasnt allowed to, apparently. we end up falling asleep on the couch which is so uncomfortable. she and i slept there till 9:30am. way later than we usually wake up. so it was a really bad night but i decided to go ahead with the photo an hour thing so thats where it starts.

9:30am

10:30am – 3 photos for this hour. liv and i went to the river to collect leaves and flowers and things to do a couple projects. i’m going to make a seperate post about those.

11:30am – liv and henny (who i think might be a boy) worked on some holes. henny likes holes.

12:30pm – huge tantrum.

1:30pm – a tiny bit of pool time, and some lounging in the grass with the chick.

2:30pm – more coffee please. and i did some dishes.

3:30pm – these guys played on cell phones while i folded laundry.

4:30pm – liv was pretty tired at this point but it was definitely too late for a nap so we occupied her for a little bit by playing around outside and then in the black lights in the bedroom for a little bit.

5:30pm – we really needed to keep her awake so we suggested mini golf down the street. always fun. normally keli would be going to work at this time but he had today off.

6:30pm – this was a little closer to 7 actually. liv passed out while i was eating a huge burrito.

7:30 – working on this blog post.

8:30pm – ok i stole this photo from last night but basically its the same thing. im going to drink some water and watch lost.

and thats about it. a couple episodes of lost will be watched and then i want to sleep. im tired.

hey liv, remember when we got chicky? and you named her henny, after the easter book we read 100 times the week before? baba was at the fire station and this little chick found him. baba kept it in a box over night and then brought it home for us the next day. he/she is so cute! we went to the feed store with nonna and got some food and hay and we’ve had her now for a little over a week. we dont actually know if its a boy or girl yet, but you think girl. henny poops a lot, and cheeps a lot, mostly when we get out of her sight. she thinks she’s one of us. in the best few days though youve started to get a little rough. i dont like it. hopefully you get over that soon…next we need to find a big cage for her soon so she can sleep outside and start laying us some eggs!

mostly, anyway. i definitely enjoy buying things every once in awhile, and i always like to buy food, but usually the most fun we have is when we dont spend any money at all. probably 70% of livs toys go un-played with most of the time and there are a lot that i probably enjoy way more than she does. like lalaloopsy dolls. theyre so cute. anyway. i love being outdoors and luckily liv loves exploring too. every once in awhile i feel like we get kind of bored. we’ve been to ho’omaluhia a billion times, same with he’eia, our backyard, the river, the park. but then we find somewhere new. not actually new, i’ve been to this park before and liv has too, but we’ve gone like 2 or 3 times in the past couple of weeks. and its getting really hot again, so we’ll be going to the beach more often (we bought a beach umbrella today!). even at the same old places, my parents backyard or ours, liv ends up having the most fun, and doing the cutest things. she points out how beautiful the clouds look, or when she spots a bird doing something particularly cute to her. ‘i love spring so much!’ ‘look at the sun! that means its going to be a pretty day.’ she’s actually said those things to me, unprompted. while at maunawili park she started army crawling through the grass and kind of squealing all excited like. turns out she was looking for bald eagles. and apparently they were everywhere. some tiny, some big. all different kinds. she knows they arent actually tiny and dont live in the grass, but she likes to pretend. there is so much more, but my memory is really bad. these are my favorite things.

i still have last years easter posts saved as a draft on my dashboard…i think i was waiting to get more pictures from my moms phone or something and then it just never happened. so to compensate i’ll have double the pictures on this post :] we dyed eggs the day before..liv was much less messy this year…it was fun. and then that night we we dyed a few more eggs with my parents. livs been eating a lot of eggs lately…easter morning liv and i woke up and she got a basket from keli’s mom with a bunch of cute stuff, including a new little cheeping chick thing. a little while later she got the basket from keli and i. i’m positive i like the little lalaloopsy dolls more than she does. the bubble gun though….excellent. later we had an easter egg hunt in the backyard. actually she hid the eggs for me first. so cute. then we went to a lookout on the pali and then briefly to the actual pali lookout but it started raining so we left. liv did NOT want to leave the first lookout. we were there for awhile just walking around and checking things out. she really wanted to go down the side of the mountain. shes a hiker :] next was dinner at my parents house. the ham was cooked in an imu…so good. and i dont even usually like ham. liv got the cutest stuff from my parents. little stamps, another cheepy chick, an electric toothbrush which shes obsessed with, candy, a little hopping bunny. super cute. it was a pretty good easter (even though liv was pretty naughty during the 1st half of the day).

the last week of march

another weekly recap. it was a good week. im glad i started doing these recaps because seriously i can barely remember what happened yesterday. but! now i can look in my little notes section on my phone and see exactly (or a few highlights actually) of what happened. its good.

sunday the 25th: keli and my mom both had the day off so we planned for liv to go to my parents house in the evening so keli and i could go out to eat or something. liv ended up falling asleep right before my mom came to pick her up so she basically freaked out when it was time for her to leave. that and for awhile now shes been pretty much a butthead about being away from me, even with my family members and even if im RIGHT there. so i was frustrated about that plus my mom had made plans for them. i didnt want to waste the evening though so we ended up getting take out for dinner and then eating it at the elementary school nearby. ended up being pretty ok.

monday: to make up for the night before, liv went with my mom and spent the day at their house. its super weird for me to be away from liv, especially for long periods of time. i dont know what to do with myself. i think i mentioned our car was totally broken, so we ended up finding something good on craigslist, checking it out, and buying it. so far it still seems like we got a pretty good deal. fingers crossed. keli went to work and i met liv at my parents house, stayed there for dinner and came home late.

tuesday: i had a dentist appointment. yuck. returned my grandmas car that i had borrowed the day before and ate dinner at my parents again since keli was at work. oh and i think i broke my toe. i kicked my parents bathroom door.

wednesday: super beautiful day! first really nice day in awhile. kylie came over after work and we blew up 52 balloons and painted a huge happy birthday sign for my dad.

thursday: went to the dmv to register the new car, did some grocery shopping. took keli to work, then went to my parents for my dads birthday. cleaned the new car with my mom and liv, then we ate at ruby tuesdays which was actually really good. picked keli up from work (at 11pm) and home to sleep finally.

friday: i took keli to work in the morning then dropped the car off at nissan for an oil change and stuff. and a free car wash. nice. took forever though. picked keli up from work and we had pizza for dinner then took liv to baskin robbins. she got a crazy sugar high off the tiniest bit of ice cream. it was so funny.

saturday: keli was off! kind of rare. we went to kaneohe bakery for donuts but of course they were sold out so we went to safeway and ended up leaving with a bunch of other stuff too. it was a super nice day so when we got back we patched livs old pool with some hot pink duct tape and set up her sprinkler. keli napped and liv and i did some bubble art (yay for pinterest ideas). no nap for liv meant early bedtime. kel and i kinda did the earth hour thing. no lights from about 8:15-9ish. not bad. then we watched lost.

our week

so since i clearly cannot find the time/energy/desire/content to blog anymore i thought i could do a weekly recap thing. shouldnt be too hard. every night before i go to bed i’ve been writing a few little notes in my phone, pizza for dinner, we went to target, etc. fun….ok! so heres this past week in a little nutshell.

sunday: liv and i went to target and safeway in the morning. i got her a few things for easter, a new bathing suit, some food, coffee creamer for me…oh wait keli came with us to safeway and then we stopped by the mall after to get liv a lalaloopsy little doll thing for easter. pretty sure its more for me than her. keli got her a set of bugs in resin. cool. and then i made carbonara for dinner. yum.

monday: liv finished painting her birdhouse and we filled it with birdseed and hung it in the tree. so far i dont think any of the birds have eaten from it. whatever though, it looks cute. i got liv to watch babar for the first time and then we ate dinner at my parents house when keli went to work.

tuesday: 1st day of spring! liv and i hung out in the backyard for a bit in the morning and then we took the cutest instax picture. when keli woke up we got some jamba juice then went down to the river. before dinner i took liv to the park to keep her awake since she didnt nap. came home, ate, and then i think she went to bed pretty early. keli was at work so i watched some movies.

wednesday: on wednesday we switched beds. thats pretty much all i remember from the day, but yay for this better bed. oh and liv and i made carrot zucchini bread before that. and then she and keli rescued one of her balloons that blew away. keli worked and liv went to bed early again so i watched 2 movies. it ended up being a really bad night. when liv woke up for the first or second time she was all nuts. insisted on taking her diaper off, wouldnt put a new one on, wouldnt go back to sleep. she made a trillion crazy demands..like…shes nuts. she wants this, then no she wants this. i cant have a blanket on me or even a pillow touching me. door has to be open, no now it has to be closed. demands i stand up and carry her. clearly i say no to a lot of these things which means a lot of screaming. after awhile she let keli talk to her and stuff and convinced him to go sleep out in the living room. they ended up back in the room, shes still being nuts, whatever, we end up falling asleep. diaperless. aaand she peed the bed.

thursday: we went to the waterpark. keli likes it there and we got a pass so we can go for the rest of the year for free. liv had fun for like 15 minutes and then she was ready to go home. she napped for a tiny bit on the way home and i made baked chicken parmesan and stuffing for dinner. and then we played outside.

friday: we overslept! our car has been basically broken for awhile and we were supposed to take it in at 8:30, and then use my sisters car to take keli to work by 10, then pick him up at 11:30 that night. we woke up at 8:40…and liv was still asleep in her bed. totally crazy. our car ends up being done. like, beyond repair pretty much. liv and i hung out with my family all day and we got pizza for dinner. there was a lot of back and forth and it was pretty busy.

saturday: i dont know what were going to do about our car. we need to buy a new/used one but keli doesnt seem to be in a rush. but we so need a car. we stayed home all day today and just kind of hung out. it was super windy and cold out. i hate wind. i started thinking about the tattoo i want again.

yep. that was our week.
